Breaking Free's 2nd Annual Benefit Breakfast

Thank you to the 530+ attendees and 47 Table Captains who helped make the 2011 Benefit Breakgfast a HUGE Success! Featuring: Founder & Executive Director Vednita Carter, Women's Program Manager Joy Friedman, Emcee Pam Lundell form KTIS, Keynote SPeaker Ramsey County Attorney John Choi, and amazing testimony form survivors who have been helped by our program.
May 13-14, 2011 Demand Change Project Featuring Nicole C. Mullen's Victory Benefit Concert for Breaking Free The Demand Change Project was a groundbreaking event that took place for the purpose of educating and engaging men and the general public about the issue of sex-trafficking to bring awareness to the issue, celebrate the work that is being done, honor the survivors, unite the men's and women's anti-human trafficking movements, raise desperately needed funds to help victims and end the demand for commercial sex.

Breaking Free is hosted a complimentary breakfast at The Great Hall in St. Paul to share past successes, plans for the future, and testimonials from survivors who have been helped by the program. Over 340 people attended and $40,000 was raised due to a generous matching grant from our sponsor. Breaking Free 7th Annual Candle Light Vigil October 27th, 2009 from 6-8 pm On Tuesday, October 27th, 2009 Breaking Free would like to invite everyone to join us in our 7th annual event to end prostitution as we remember the many women and girls who have been killed while involved in prostitution and to make a statement in the community that prostitution is violence against all women and girls.
Cross Country Pimpin Tour ProtestOn Sunday April 5th, 2009 at 9:00 PM Breaking Free along with many concerened citizens went to Minneapolis to peacefuly protest a "Cross Country Pimpin" event at Karma Nightclub. Thnak you to Mayor RT Rybak's office and the Minneapolis Police Department for their support in the stopping the recruitment of local girls in The Twin Cities. MN is rated 13th in the nation for incidence of sex trafficking and prostitution.
