Who We Work With

Combating the commercial sexual exploitation of Minnesota's women requires partnership and multi-agency collaboration. In order to achieve its mission, Breaking Free cultivates relationships with key stakeholders and works closely with service providers, churches, district courts, county attorneys, corrections and probation, social services, and federal, state, and local law enforcement. Breaking Free was established in October 1996, by Vednita Carter, Founder, as a non-profit organization serving women involved in systems of abuse, exploitation, and prostitution/sex trafficking.
