All student internship positions are currently FULL. If an internship position opens, it will be listed here, and sent out to our email list, which you may sign up for HERE. Due to a high volume of interest, email inquiries will not be answered.

Assistance With School Projects

Each year, Breaking Free receives hundreds of student requests for assistance with school projects, such as research and interviews. Because of the high volume of requests we receive and our heavy workload, Breaking Free staff are not able at this time to assist with school projects so that we may concentrate on our work in ending sex trafficking. Please do not contact us for assistance with school projects.

Classroom Visits

Breaking Free staff work with professors and teachers to develop relevant, age-appropriate curriculum surrounding the issues of sex trafficking. Complete this form to schedule a visit to your high school, college/university, or graduate/professional school. Presentations will be tailored to meet specific learning needs.

Breaking Free was established in October 1996, by Vednita Carter, Founder, as a non-profit organization serving women involved in systems of abuse, exploitation, and prostitution/sex trafficking. In the fall of 2016 Terry Forliti was appointed by Vednita Carter and the Breaking Free Board of Directors as the new Executive Director.Phone: 651-645-6557
