Sex trafficking has become increasingly hidden, yet sexual exploitation remains widespread throughout the Twin Cities. This ongoing reality makes street outreach an essential approach for connecting with individuals who may otherwise remain unseen and underserved.
Our Outreach Advocates conduct street-based outreach to connect with individuals, build trust, provide information about Breaking Free's programs and services, and distribute hygiene kits and other essential supplies to address immediate needs. With our newly acquired mobile outreach van, our teams can extend their reach across high-traffic areas in Ramsey, Washington, and Anoka counties where exploitation is prevalent.
In partnership with community organizations, our outreach efforts are strengthened to ensure clients have access to comprehensive resources, including orders for protection, emergency shelter, chemical dependency treatment, and mental health referrals. By working collaboratively, we can better locate new clients and offer sustained support for those already engaged in our services, creating a strong network of care tailored to their unique needs.
